This July, The Open Championship returns to the Home of Golf. Steeped in history, The Old Course at St.Andrews has provided the backdrop for some of the game’s most unforgettable moments. First played here in 1873, this year’s Open will mark the 30th at St.Andrews and the 150th edition of the Championship.
Ballesteros, Nicklaus, Daly, Woods; some of the game’s most iconic names have picked up Open victories along the Old Course. When the world’s best players make the trip to the famous Fife links, they’ll know a victory here will add their name to one of golf’s most exclusive lists; Open Champion at St.Andrews.
The most recent Open Championship held at St. Andrews in 2015 provided an epic four-hole, three-man playoff. We witnessed an epic four-hole, three-man playoff where Zach Johnson – Team USA’s 2023 Ryder Cup captain – fought off challenges from Marc Leishman and Louis Oosthuizen to etch his name in the history books. Who’s next?
