Should you swing a sand shot llike a tee shot with your driver?
Rodney great lesson. What’s your prospective on weight distribution from the green side bunker. Most of us were taught to put the weight on the front foot. Looks like your weight was maybe 60/40 towards the back foot and you hit a great shot. Just interested on your thoughts
Art, Thanks for the note. Always try to favor your weight on the right side. Weight on the left will cause you to dig in behind the ball. Also don’t be afraid to really open the clubface.
I notice you didnt have any weight on the front foot. Should you?
Wayne ,
Thanks for the note. Favor your right side it will allow for a more shallow approach at impact. Weight on the left will cause you to dig. Also don’t be afraid to really open the club face.
Great lesson because bunker shots near the greens are tough for me. If the sand is fluffy vs. compact use the same guidelines? Playing off my the inside left foot vs. taking a middle stance I will try this week.
Thank you
Karen thanks for the comment. Fluffy or compact same concept. Don't be afraid to really get that club face open using the sole of the club to impact the sand and not the leading edge. Always accelerate through the shot.
Take care
Rodney
